There is a long history of how the arts have been powerfully used to interpret the world and make commentary about the human condition within it. This project is designed to explore how engagement with art as as research method, specifically devised theater, provides college students with the opportunity to think critically about humans and society, and to
work inclusively and collaboratively to co-create knowledge together as they express and an analyze their own ideas about the history of inclusion. Interdisciplinary collaboration and mentoring will provide student researchers with a rich community of supports as they develop research, writing and presentation skills that will prepare them to “help us envision
where are going” and our potential for an inclusive future.
